Intro
A n ambitious project to compile Libyan history and culture into a single Free online resource that’s accessible from anywhere in the world via the Internet, the form of which is TBD.
Why though?
There’s only 7 million of us Libyans, perhaps a few thousand in diaspora, our culture and heritage seems to be at risk of being lost to the ages as a massive culture wars ensue on global stages online and on the ground, and as the digital age races by and the youth embracing that which is new , our heritage remaining in old dusty tomes in books and scrolls in hidden archives around the world, the risk of losing that which shaped our Libyan Identity is endangered.
The mission of this endeavour is to collect, process, organize, store, and share every tidbit of Libyan culture, that essence that makes us Libyan, everything from history, culture, customs, art, crafts, industry, trades, folklore, tales, literature…everything that has anything to do with the land I call Home.
